Nick and I had a leisurely Saturday morning, I only slept in until 9:30... because I wanted to not waste the day away too much! I showered and put away laundry while my hair dried! After it was dry enough to straighten we were about to head out the door to go down by the University of Denver and walk around and find something fun to do or experience or eat! As I was putting on my new boots, I saw on facebook that the Denver Zoo was FREE TODAY!! So I said Nick let's go to the zoo!! I looked up the directions and we were on our way! Since it was FREE and the temperature was upper 50's-60's it was PACKED!! We had to park a mile away and walk!! And then Walk around the zoo for 4 hours! Here are some pictures:

Since we didn't pay to get in, we didn't feel bad about spending money on lunch!
Since we enjoyed the chili so much:
I made the Chili on Sunday afternoon while hemming my new pants and watching the Golden Globes but Saturday night after going to the zoo, we had been invited to Brinner at 2 girls (Anna and Kelsey - Nick knows them from Frisbee and Study Groups) from Denver Seminary's apartment. There were 5 girls and 4 guys, every one of them single except Nick and I. We had a delicious breakfast casserole - dough, sausage gravy, eggs, cheese baked for 40 minutes.... 2 kinds of cinnamon rolls, fruit and yogurt and donuts. Kelsey made her own recipe up: sugar cookie dough (Pillsbury?) mixed with crushed graham crackers, and some butter baked in a muffin tin, then with mini marshmallow's placed on top and warmed in the oven, then drizzled with chocolate! Yum!! The guys watched football while the food cooked and the girls talked. We also watched Saved - that movie with Mandy Moore in it...
Great weekend!
I love all your pictures and I love that it was free!! Looks like a great time!!
