www.NewYearsEve2014.com

If you read this post, you know that our New Years Eve was different than any other....

I have a scrapbook that records how we welcome in each New Year so I knew I had to document our experience no matter what it was! I usually write down who we spent it with,
.....the people on this plane to Detroit!
......what we ate (they offered us more than usual of the regular items if we wanted it)
and what we did.....
The Scrapbook is mostly Black and White... hmm I wonder if I'm even caught up! I should look into that!

Well, our flight ended up being delay and you can read how that affected us by clicking on that link up there ^, but the flight attendants decided we'd celebrate New Years in the Detroit Time Zone. The really cool thing about Southwest Airlines is that they have a deal with Dish that provides FREE TV as long as you provide your own device to watch it on. So we still got to watch "the ball drop" in NYC!!! I have never missed it! Click Here to watch the video I made of that experience!

If you can't watch the video, we had made up an hour in the air somehow and therefore were descending into Detroit as the ball was dropping!! Nick and I counted down with the TV, and the Flight Attendants started a countdown about 10 seconds late... then they played Auld Lang Syne over the PA system on the plane.

Once we were on the ground and taxi-ing to our gate, one of the flight attendants sang her own version of the song about Southwest. "should all the airlines be forgot, and never flown upon...something, something positive about southwest..... even if we're not on time!"  It was really cute!!!
