This time a week ago, loved ones were leaving their homes to go to watch a much anticipated movie in theaters!

A week later and the media ad people have be in-undated with so many angles and stories and questions and answers and beliefs and confusion..... what can we draw from all of this?

Here is what I believe.

This was never "God's will" as some people have said! God would never plan such a gruesome night. He can however be glorified through this situation.

How can He be Glorified.... well the news is already doing that. I have heard more times on the news this week than ever of miracles and stories attributed to God's goodness. These are the stories we need to share with loved ones.

In this story of Petra Anderson, 22 years old, and a Christian - she was shot in the nose, and the bullet traveled though a pathway (that some are saying is a rare birth-defect) in her brain all the way to the back. “It would be hard to create a path similar to this where it goes all the way from the front to the back and misses every single blood vessel, doesn't bother any of major structures, and leaves her able to talk and move everything and not be paralyzed or dead,” the doctor added. “Never in my entire career have I seen a case where a bullet has traversed the entire brain like this and not caused severe damage or death.”

Peirce O'Ferrell and Carey Rotman who were both shot at the theater prayed together between seats. One believing the other had died, escaped while the killer ended up within inches of Peirce who lay lifeless believes that God spared his life, that He wanted him to live another day!

Caleb Medley and his wife escaped with their lives. Caleb still in critical condition, but his wife who was 9 months pregnant escaped with the life insider her untouched! She gave birth to the miracle baby.

The hospitals are wiping clean the bills of patients without insurance.

Three men gave their lives for their girlfriends. Talk about sacrifice and an example of Jesus' sacrifice for all mindkind. One of these men Matt McQuinn was an Ohio native.


A war vet, throws his body of 2 of his married friends, taking 2 bullets to save their lives.

The shooter had so many more bullets than he actually fired, in all actuality more people should/could have been harmed/killed. His gun jammed, causing the shooting to stop.... that Was GOD!

Justin says that the killer should be forgiven, you don't know what he's going through.

As the speaker at church on Sunday said, when your parents ask you where you are going and always seem to be on your case, it's because they need to know in a situation like this, if they need to be more worried or not. They love you.

In the cliche reminded to us tonight by our friend Ryan, "Tell your loved ones you love them because you never know when your last day on this earth is."

What more than telling your loved ones that you love them, but to tell the Saviour of the World, that you accept his gift of Eternal life. You  never know when your last day on earth will be. You can't put off a decision like this. Do it now. It's that simple.
