Today is my friend Mariah's 15th birthday!
I was totally invited to her party (as a chaperone) but it is the afternoon and I'll still be at work... booo.
15 is a good year!
She'll be a sophomore in the fall, she'll probably get a leading role in the next musical at her school.
She'll probably paint like 100 canvas' of really cool artwork!
She'll make 450 really cool video's with her friends and her ipad.

15 is going to be a hard-adjusting year for her.
Here mom is re-marrying. They're moving.
She's gaining a step-sister who she'll be living with,
and 2 step-brothers (who are out of the house so that won't be as big of a deal).
She's loosing the fun years living with just her mom/best friend.
But she's gaining what hopefully will become a "live-in Best Friend!"
She'll be lonely less often which is wonderful!

She's getting to go to Las Vegas and she she just got back from a week in Chicago.
She's getting her driver's license this year, so she'll gain some amazing independence.

My Prayer for her:
Thank you for Mariah. Thank you for the Joy she has brought in my life.
Thank you for her mom, who has raised her in such a way that
they're friends first, and mother/daughter 2nd.
That she raised her to be independent and make great decisions.

confusion, hurt, pain, disaster, and imperfect people.
Keep her safe and healthy!

delight in her inner beauty before her obvious outer beauty.
May she fully put your trust in you, Lord
because life and loved ones may let her down,
but You always invite her to curl up in your lap and rest in Your love.
May she hear your voice in the wind, and see your face in a leaf or butterfly.
