Although Family day is only in its second year of existence in Canada for me it now includes my husband! Which is convenient since it was also Valentines Day weekend.


When I saw him walk down the stairs with flowers I pretty much went into shock!! Only 1 time before has he given me a flower (1 red rose at graduation)! This time I got 3 red roses! They are absolutely beautiful!


I decided to get creative!

We shopped all morning together on Saturday; spending other peoples money is fun! He swept me off my feet - literally! He picked me up and carried me into McDonalds! We had breakfast & lunch together before meeting my parents at their hotel. We hung out there with them for a few minutes before going out for dinner at Los Tres Amigos. It was a nice change from the places we usually go.

After dinner we ran back to the hotel: Nick and I jumped in the hot tub/pool. I had worn my hair curly and cute that day and had pulled it up so it would still be cute for the Phantom that we were going to see that night! However Nick kept threatening to dunk me - he tried really hard!!! So hard in fact that I felt like he deserved to me splashed a little.... he decided that I deserved to be actually be dunked... I was not impressed! However he did take my boots off for me - so overall he did good!!!

So my hair looked gross as we went to see the Phantom as performed by SAU students. It was not the musical by Andrew Lloyd Weber - but it was the same storyline - but I like to explain it as the story behind the story. It was good! My parents enjoyed it a lot! I had been given 2 of our 5 tickets for free for editing the RA hiring videos! Mel & Kevin also came to see the play! It was great to see them again!

I went back and spent the night at the hotel with my parents - any amount of time I can spend with them is great since I can't go back home! In the morning I had some time practice dancing with my daddy.... in the hallway of the hotel!
