Day Eight: Saturday

This was one day I knew what we wanted to do! We were going to Rocky Mountain National Park because it was our furthest destination, but we had not even been there so I didn't really know what to expect. Lucky for us, we had dropped Michael off at Tabetha's the night before and her and her boyfriend Brett were going to go with us. I drove up there which is honestly a fun mountain drive!

We walked up and down the streets of Estes Park which is a lot of touristy shops, and there was an art fair going on so we walked through that. Mom bought pottery. We all kind of split up so we all could enjoy the shops we want to see.

Oooh yeah - we had a picnic in Estes!

Then from there, we paid for a seasonal pass for Rocky Mountain National Park because we assumed that we will be bringing others there too! However not until we got up in there that we realized how incredibly awesome it really was. It is mostly driving, with parking lots to pull over, get out and take pictures of the great views so it isn't a lot of climbing/stress on our bodies. Therefore Bessie - this is a great place for you!!!!  There were a few spots that we walked/climbed a bit, and at those altitudes with such little oxygen even that can be harder than you think.

We didn't see as much wildlife as we hoped,  unless you count Chipmunks and Marmots -
