1 year ago today Nick and I drove into the State of
Colorado for the first time.
The 16th was the Holiday Monday though,
and we had given ourselves extra time to make the drive in case we hit bad
weather, so we were here a day early and couldn’t get into our apartment
complex. We stayed at a hotel in Lakewood, CO and ordered pizza from Pizza Hut
to our hotel room. Lily escaped from the hotel room and ran down the hall
and we had to chase her! She’d had had enough of being crammed into a car for 22
hours.

Can you believe it?
Since January 1st, last year I've worked at 3 different Sam's Clubs, 1 restaurant, 1 chiropractic office, and now a geo-tech engineer firm.
Nick has finished 1 year of Seminary (2 semesters, 1 summer term and almost 1 interim class), doing well and loving all of his classes!
Between Nick and I driving to and from the airport to pick people up or drop people off or fly ourselves - we've made 23 trips to the airport! (Austins-2 / Everetts-2 / Nick-2 / Spencer-2 / Us-2 / Clare&Shawn-2 / Terry-1 / Brenda-2 / Tyler-1 / McCormicks-1 / Chris-2 / Britt-2 / Nick-2)
We've had 12 visitors: Mom, Dad & Michael, MomE & DadE, Bessie/Kathy & Chris (back-to-back), Terry, Brenda, Shawn & Clare (back-to-back).
Living here for a year is kind of like being on vacation for a year! 300 days of sunshine! Gorgeous Mountains that change how they look everyday! Beautiful Hikes and views!
Congrats on 1 year in Colorado!! You have endured many highs and lows! Can't believe it's been a year already!
